Shutdown of CNG stations in Karachi
(Salman Ali Zar Muhammad, Karachi)
Karachi is the most busy and
densely populated area of Pakistan. It is the hub of Pakistan where
transportation is an important part of life. In Karachi there are a number of
well known CNG stations across all areas.
Due to the shutdown of CNG pumps twice a week in Karachi, the public is facing
many problems and is unable to reach their desired place on time. The
transportation in Karachi is facing a hard time as the employed and working
people who come out of their homes to work face a tough time as buses don’t come
frequently and also rickshaw and taxi drivers have increased their fairs inorder
to earn their profits. The people who have their personal cars have to stand in
lengthy ques infront of the CNG stations a day prior to the shutdown. Another
addition in the list of troubles is that the days selected for the shutdown of
CNG stations are consecutive working and important days of the week and it makes
the life of a common man hard to get their desired transportation on time so
they try alternate options and travel in buses in a risky and dangerous manner.
You are therefore requested to draw the attention of the authorities concerned
to look into this matter and try to shutdown the CNG pumps once a week whether
it is Saturday or Sunday so that the life of a common employed man does not get
affected by it. Also kindly decide and announce the shutdown days a day prior by
taking help from the electronic media i.e. news channels and newspapers.
Yours Faithfully,
SALMAN ALI ZAR MUHAMMAD
