When Justice Becomes Law, Persistence Becomes Duty
(Manzoor Hussain Rajper, Khairpur Mirs)
I am writing to pay tribute to
the brave hero Aitzaz Hassan, who sacrificed his life and saved many other
precious lives.
When justice becomes law, persistence becomes duty! Well said. The heroic act of
Aitzaz Hassan will be always remembered as various segments of society praised
him. Not only this but he also gotten worldwide recognition. Malala Yousafzai
also praised the teenager and called him “Brave and Courageous”. She said that,
“I wish that in giving his own life he helped to bring peace to my people and my
country” and “His bravery must never be forgotten”, she added.
What made him to do that? His absolute action was very commendable and made our
nation proud. He is our hero. He did what is the real need of time. He performed
such an act which requires great courage. He gave his life but resisted the
viciousness.
He has set up an example and provided a lesson for our nation that one way to
get rid from this evil terrorism is to show audacity and perseverance against
the terror even though you sacrifice so as the majority could be saved.
The militants have destroyed more than a thousand schools, especially girls’ in
this continuous wave of terrorism. The current year has been ushered in with
another school been blown up in Charsadda. Attack on Malala Yousif zai is one of
the famous evidences.
The terrorists are killing our children, our youth, and our future building
blocks. They are destroying our educational institutions, schools, the system
but our Government seems confuse and begging talks with those brutal killers.
The blood of this little guy teaches us to scuffle, show resistance not
timidity. The talks are not possible after the heavy loss.
We appreciate that Prime Minister recommended the Sitara-e-Shujaat for Aitzaz
Hassan. It is also commendable that the Chief of Army Staff called him hero.
Assembly and senate also passed resolutions to pay tribute to him. But this is
not enough. No, the blood of Aitzaz Hassan demands something more than that of
the appreciations. It demands the persistence. Yes, the persistence which he
displayed and sacrificed his life. How do our leaders claim to respect our
heroes if they do not demand action against those who killed them? How do our
leaders promise to solve our problems if they do not even do anything after such
examples? We need answers!
