Indeed the topic itself is the
argument that’s self-purification. This is one of the distinctive qualities of
the human beings which differentiate them from other creatures. The great
scholars believe that self-conquest is the best of all victories. It generates
from the moral, social, religious, political, cultural and national grounds that
man has to purify his ego. He is required to control his emotions and desires
when it is the matter of collective judgments. He must listen and respect
others’ opinions and thoughts so that he is respected by others. Otherwise clash
of thoughts are ignited when exploded thoughts and actions fall into conflicting
dykes.
Man gives respect when he is respected. Today the whole world is facing human
violent and rude behaviors that is the root of every battle and tensions. If we
talk about our own country it has also been burning in fire due to
uncontrollable emotions and power. Man uses power to impose his self-made rules
in the society that is the main cause of ever emerging crimes and agonies. We
never think to change ourselves but want others to do whatever we wish.
Every evil and devilish act are developed by individuals in a society where
self-conquest doesn’t have any value. When we tell a lie it is good but when it
is done by others then why it is a crime? When we commit a blunder that is a fun
when others commit a mistake that is a crime. When others demand their rights
that is against the law, when we take lives that is the rule of law. When others
miss something to do on time, they are ignorant, when we never do anything
that’s fair. When others do not follow the law, they are sent to jail, when we
break the law, we are defended and protected by the law.
I would like to draw the esteemed attentions of the ruling authorities of our
motherland Pakistan. I have been observing everything since I grew up to
fifteen. I found a lot of differences in our society that’s social
classifications, upper class, lower class, poor, rich, rural, urban, more than
72 religious groups, bungalows, huts, villagers, the elites and the deprived
people.
Dear ruling authorities, why don’t we implement the same law for everyone? Why
don’t we maintain the social differences? Why don’t we feel mercy upon those
when they go through starvation while our children enjoy in restaurants and
hotels? Why don’t we think about poor children sleeping in streets during rainy
days while our children rest in the comfort of beautiful and marvelous palaces?
Why everything is different here? Even we all are Muslims and the citizens of
the same nation. Why don’t we change our-self? Why don’t we mend ourselves
before enforcing others to practice the law? I can say that we have lost our
moral values. Our hearts are dark, our eyes are blind, our ears are deaf and we
are the cruel and the brutal masters.
Being a Muslim I would like to elaborate the Islamic norms and customs about
Self-Conquest. Quran is the light and the brilliant teacher of all human beings
whoever wants to follow he can become the conqueror. It has emphasized upon
Self-conquest in every matter of life. Before implementing anything upon others
the man must impose it upon himself. Self-conquest is called the greatest battle
or Jihaad-e-Akbar. Allah loves the one who sacrifices and gives up everything
for the sake of Allah. Even then we never try to understand and going astray.
We have to purify ourselves to make the land beautiful and serene heaven where
we inhale and exhale. We must avoid first then the others would be impressed
when something is presented practically by the important and the significant
members of the society. We are the role model for the whole nation if we conquer
the Self that’s our Ego. How beautiful it will be! When someone hates us, we
love him. When he hurts us, we care him. When he asks for help we help him. When
he seeks mercy we affectionately forgive him. He demands everything he needs we
grant him. When he points out our faults and mistakes we correct it. This is the
real soul of Self-Conquest.
