Peshawar, January 28, 2016. Peshawar police has defused the IED bomb, which was fixed to explode the electrical power line in the area of Jamil Chowk Peshawar. Terrorists fixed the explosive in 5 pressure cookers to destroy the 132 KV lines, which supply electricity from Kpk to Punjab province.

According to the police, locals inform the police that new pressure cooker is hidden in electricity tower. Police inform the Police station Phando and Gulbahar police, whose reached to the spot and cordon off the area. They also called to bomb disposal unit to check the pressure cooker.
Bomb disposal unit has reached to the spot and they found five pressure cooker, which was Afghanistan made were linked to each other with prima card and explosive. Bomb disposal unit of Peshawar police has defused the local made IED bomb.

The DSP Rohan Zeb confirmed that last night, police takes search & strike operation in the same area and today early morning local inform the police that suspicious presser cooker. He further added that we will again start search & strike operation in the same area. Because it’s shown that the terrorist was hidden here and when we start searching operation in the area, they planted the IEDs to blast the Electricity tower in the same area.

SSP operation of the KP police Abbas Marwat also visited the area, where IED was hidden to target the Electricity Tower, officers informs them about the Explosive and later SSP Operation Abbas Marwat talk with the journalist and said that the police conduction search & strike operation in different areas of the city, it’s our success that police defused the IED.

Answering about the school secured the SSP operation of KP police confirmed that more than 64 thousand schools in the province and we have 68 thousands police officer, so one police officer for one school, which is not possible.
