How Social Media makes us Anti-social?

Social media rules out social gathering.

We live in a world, where people are so much busy in their lives. Someone is busy in their studies, someone is busy handling their business, someone is busy managing their office work, and no one has a time to interfere or put their nose into other’s matter. But there is one devilish thing that is making almost every person to forget about their responsibilities, their goals and objective, and care about others more than about them. That thing is ‘Social Media’.

The word ‘Media’ comprises of “MED - Medium, I – Intellectual and A – Ability”. So the word ‘Media’ means ‘Medium that controls your Intellectual Ability’. The usage of Social Media is becoming more and more as the time passes. Only few people might be living in this world have protected them using Social Media, others are trapped into the dark cave of Social Media.

Many of us spend hours and hours using social media, connecting to people living in the other part of the world, chatting with friends, poking, tweeting, share photos and etc., but is this the real life? Obviously NO! But there are individual livings on this globe, considering the fake world as the real one and neglecting the real one considering it the fake one.

There are many socializing website on Internet, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and etc. which allows people to interact with other people in no time. We make thousands and thousands of friends, followers on this website while we are living a lonely life in real. Using social media excessively makes us anti-social that we don’t care about our family, our real friends, relatives. These socializing website makes us so numb, that we don’t remember our parents’ birthday anymore, we don’t have any extra-curricular activities, because Facebook gives you a reminder about your friends’ and family’s birthday. We don’t have any extra-curricular activities in our schedule; because Facebook have so many interesting games that you don’t need to go outside and play with your friends.

When we were young and these socializing websites were not much common those days, we were living a healthy and happiest life. We have so many friends at that time. We used to plan a birthday party for our friend two weeks before; we used to go outside every evening, gathered in our streets and play. But things are totally changed now, thanks to Social Media for ruining our lives.

Social Media can be a good medium to interact with people around the world if we use it in a proper way. Make the time you spend of socializing a productive time of your life. Facebook allows you to create your business page, showcase your products over there, gather the people, let them shop through your page, post your ads, and sponsored your post and many other options. Same thing goes with Twitter. Instagram can also be a good medium to make yourself professional instead of posting irrelevant and filtered photos of yours. Many of us might not be aware about it, but Instagram is a very responsive market where people post their product and get order.

Get yourself out of the fake world and try to live in the real world. This world is so beautiful. Spend time with your family instead of socializing on websites. Indulge yourself in healthy extra-curricular activities and live a healthy and prosperous life.
