Surah Nas is the 114th and last chapter of the Holy Quran. Surah Nas is also known as Surah Naas or Surah Al Nas. It has six brief verses that make up it, yet every Muslim has profound spiritual and protective significance. This surah was revealed in Makkah, making it a Makki Surah. Along with Surah Falaq, it is one of the two special chapters called Al-Mu'awwidhatayn, which means the two surahs for asking Allah’s protection.
- Protection from the Devil: Asking Allah (SWT) for defense from the evil whispers of Shaitan (Satan), Surah Naas's main topic is protection from evil.
- Human weakness: Human vulnerability reveals how hidden evil forces can influence even the hearts of humans, hence the great need for divine protection.
- Trust in Allah Alone: The surah reminds us that only Allah (SWT), the Lord, King, and God of all mankind, can protect us fully.
