Baab Libaas Aur Zeenat Ke Ehkaam

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي عَنْ يَحْيَى حَدَّثَنِي مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ أَنَّ ابْنَ مَعْدَانَ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ نُفَيْرٍ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ رَأَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَيَّ ثَوْبَيْنِ مُعَصْفَرَيْنِ فَقَالَ إِنَّ هَذِهِ مِنْ ثِيَابِ الْكُفَّارِ فَلَا تَلْبَسْهَا

Urdu Translation

  معاذ بن ہشام نے ہمیں بیان کیا ، کہا : مجھے میرے والد نے یحییٰ ( بن ابی کثیر ) سے حدیث بیان کی ، کہا : مجھے محمد بن ابراہیم بن حارث نے حدیث سنا ئی کہ ابن معدان نے انھیں بتا یا کہ انھیں جبیر بن نفیر نے خبر دی کہ حضرت عبد اللہ بن عمرو بن عاص رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ نے انھیں بتایا کہ رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے مجھے گیروے رنگ کے دو کپڑے پہنے ہو ئے دیکھا تو آپ نے فرما یا : " یہ کا فروں کے کپڑے ہیں تم انھیں مت پہنو ۔ "

English Translation

Abdullah b. 'Amr b. al-As reported: Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) saw me wearing two clothes dyed in saffron. whereupon he said: These are the clothes (usually worn by) the non-believers, so do not wear them.
