أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ:‏‏‏‏ حَدَّثَنِي سَلْمُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ:‏‏‏‏ أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ الشِّكَالَ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ ، ‏‏‏‏‏‏قَالَ أَبُو عَبْد الرَّحْمَنِ:‏‏‏‏ الشِّكَالُ مِنَ الْخَيْلِ:‏‏‏‏ أَنْ تَكُونَ ثَلَاثُ قَوَائِمَ مُحَجَّلَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَوَاحِدَةٌ مُطْلَقَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏أَوْ تَكُونَ الثَّلَاثَةُ مُطْلَقَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَرِجْلٌ مُحَجَّلَةً، ‏‏‏‏‏‏وَلَيْسَ يَكُونُ الشِّكَالُ إِلَّا فِي رِجْلٍ وَلَا يَكُونُ فِي الْيَدِ.

Urdu Translation

ابوہریرہ رضی الله عنہ کہتے ہیں کہ   نبی اکرم صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے «شکال» گھوڑا ناپسند فرمایا ہے۔ ابوعبدالرحمٰن ( نسائی ) کہتے ہیں: گھوڑے کا «شکال» یہ ہے کہ اس کے تین پیر سفید ہوں اور ایک کسی اور رنگ کا ہو یا تین پیر کسی اور رنگ کے ہوں اور ایک سفید ہو، «شکال» ہمیشہ پیروں میں ہوتا ہے ہاتھ میں نہیں۔

English Translation

It was narrated from Abu Hurairah that the Prophet used to dislike the Shikal among horses.
