Dua e Ashura

The Islamic calendar begins with the month of Muharram. It is regarded among the sacred months as the war is also forbidden. The Day of Ashura is observed on the 10th day of Muharram. On the other side, according to several Ulemas, Judgment Day or Qayamah will also come on the Day of Ashura.
On 10th Muharram, Hazrat Imam Hussain (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him), the grandson of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), was martyred along with his companions. However, his son Hazrat Imam Zain ul Abideen (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) was the only male survivor. However, Islamic scholars highlighted the benefits and virtues of Dua e Ashura.
It is believed that a person who will recite Ashura ki Dua on 10th Muharram, or listen to its recitation from another person, will get life insurance for the whole year. However, if he/she is going to die in the coming days then he/she will not get a chance to do so.
