How Many Surahs in Quran

There are 114 Surahs in the Quran which are further divided into two categories Makki Surahs and Madni Surahs in Quran. All Surahs of the Quran are not equal in length some are long and some are short which revealed on Prophet Muhammad (P.B.U.H) at different times through angel Jibreel alaihissalam. The longest Surah of the Quran is Surah Al Baqarah which has 286 verses and the shortest Surah of Quran is Al-Kawthar with only 3 verses.

How Many Surahs in Quran

Surahs are known as the chapters in the Quran. Out of the 114 Surahs or chapters in Quran 86 are Makki Surahs and 28 are Madni Surahs. The total Surah of Quran has 6666 verses. Every Surah of Quran is equally important and has deep meaning but Surah Yaseen is considered as the heart of the Quran which has 5 rukus and 83 verses. Every Surah or chapter has Bismillah before its beginning but Surah Tauba is the only Surah of Quran that starts without Bismillah

Which Surah of Quran to read daily?
The all Surahs of Quran is equally significant and have some message for Muslims which guide the people on a different part of life but there are some Surahs which people should read daily are:

Surah Waqia: Its 56th Surah of Quran which reveled in Makkah has a total of 96 verses and 3 rukus. This surah protects against poverty as Holy Prophet (P.B.U.H) said that whoever reads Surah Waqia every night will not face poverty.

Surah Mulk: It is the 67th Surah of Quran having 30 verses, 337 words and 2 rukus. People should read it daily at night because it will help you from the agony of the grave.

Surah Yaseen: It is the 36th Surah of the Quran and has 5 rukus and 83 verses and is a Makki Surah. Reciting Surah Yaseen will help you in solving daily life problems and stop many doubts of heart.

Surah Al Rahman: it is the 55th of Quran which has 78 verses. The word Rahman means the most beneficent and it’s a Makki Surah of Quran. Reading Surah Rahman has many benefits like whoever reads this Surah will never experience bad times.
