Bayt al-Maqdis or Masjid al-Aqsa has a great significance in Islam. The mosque is built as per Islamic architecture. Hadiths about Masjid Al Aqsa
Different hadiths are present that elaborate the importance of Masjid Al Aqsa. Hazrat Abu Darda (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) relates that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “A prayer in Makkah is worth 100,000 times, a prayer in my Masjid (Madina) is worth 1,000 times, and a prayer in al-Aqsa is worth 500 times more than anywhere else”.
In another hadith, Hazrat Abu Hurayrah (Blessings of Allah Be Upon Him) relates that the Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) said: “Do not undertake a journey to visit any Mosque, but three: this Mosque of mine, the Mosque of al-Haram and the Mosque of Aqsa”.
