لَا إِلَٰهَ إِلَّا ٱللَّٰهُ مُحَمَّدٌ رَّسُولُ ٱللَّٰهِ

Importance of Pehla Kalma Tayyab
Pehla Kalma in Arabic is “La ilaha illallah Muhammadur Rasulullah” and has a special status in Islam. It is the gateway to the faith and also brings all Muslims to a common belief in Tawheed (the Oneness of Allah). It is not just a declaration of words but a commitment to surrender to what Allah wills and follow the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
The Meaning of the Pehla Kalma
The Pehla Kalma has two parts:
- La ilaha illallah: There is no one worthy of worship but Allah (SWT).
- Muhammadur Rasoolullah: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the final Messenger of Allah (SWT).
As a whole, the two parts of the Pehl Kalma acknowledge that Allah, and only Allah, has the right to be worshipped, and that Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is His chosen messenger.
