Shab E Barat Ki Fazilat
Shab e Barat is the 15th night of Shaban, the night of acquittal (the night of salvation) is very blessed. The blessings of Allah Almighty are revealed in abundance on this special night. Shab e Barat ki fazilat or the importance of Shab e Barat in the Muslim community holds a sacred place as on this night.
People stay up all night and spend the night reciting Nawafil, reciting the Qur'an, asking for forgiveness from Allah, and begging for freedom from the fires of Hell. This is the night in which Allah Almighty determines the destiny of human beings. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) described five nights in which supplication are not rejected, one of which is the fifteenth night of Shaban.
Shabe Barat ki fazilat can be understood by the fact that Muslims believe, on the night of Shab-e-Barat, Allah Almighty takes into account the deeds of all human beings in the past and writes down their destiny for the coming year. Devout Muslims will offer special prayers throughout the night of Shab-e-Barat, reciting the Qur'an and performing other religious rites, in the hope of receiving divine blessings for the well-being of mankind.
