Surah Kahf Last 10 Verses

Surah Kahf, the 18th chapter of the Quran, reads more or less as if it is a very meaningful text full of deep spiritual teaching; it is important and consists of 110 verses that give guidance, protection, and wisdom to believers. Though the first ten ayat of Surah Kahf or Surah Kahf's first ten are believed to hold protection against the trials of Dajjal (the Anti-Christ), the last ten ayat themselves hold immense value and benefit spiritually.

ٱلَّذِينَ كَانَتْ أَعْيُنُهُمْ فِى غِطَآءٍ عَن ذِكْرِى وَكَانُوا۟ لَا يَسْتَطِيعُونَ سَمْعًا (١٠١) أَفَحَسِبَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوٓا۟ أَن يَتَّخِذُوا۟ عِبَادِى مِن دُونِىٓ أَوْلِيَآءَ ۚ إِنَّآ أَعْتَدْنَا جَهَنَّمَ لِلْكَـٰفِرِينَ نُزُلًۭا (١٠٢) قُلْ هَلْ نُنَبِّئُكُم بِٱلْأَخْسَرِينَ أَعْمَـٰلًا (١٠٣) ٱلَّذِينَ ضَلَّ سَعْيُهُمْ فِى ٱلْحَيَوٰةِ ٱلدُّنْيَا وَهُمْ يَحْسَبُونَ أَنَّهُمْ يُحْسِنُونَ صُنْعًا (١٠٤) أُو۟لَـٰٓئِكَ ٱلَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا۟ بِـَٔايَـٰتِ رَبِّهِمْ وَلِقَآئِهِۦ فَحَبِطَتْ أَعْمَـٰلُهُمْ فَلَا نُقِيمُ لَهُمْ يَوْمَ ٱلْقِيَـٰمَةِ وَزْنًۭا (١٠٥) ذَٰلِكَ جَزَآؤُهُمْ جَهَنَّمُ بِمَا كَفَرُوا۟ وَٱتَّخَذُوٓا۟ ءَايَـٰتِى وَرُسُلِى هُزُوًا (١٠٦) إِنَّ ٱلَّذِينَ ءَامَنُوا۟ وَعَمِلُوا۟ ٱلصَّـٰلِحَـٰتِ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ جَنَّـٰتُ ٱلْفِرْدَوْسِ نُزُلًا (١٠٧) خَـٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا لَا يَبْغُونَ عَنْهَا حِوَلًۭا (١٠٨) قُل لَّوْ كَانَ ٱلْبَحْرُ مِدَادًۭا لِّكَلِمَـٰتِ رَبِّى لَنَفِدَ ٱلْبَحْرُ قَبْلَ أَن تَنفَدَ كَلِمَـٰتُ رَبِّى وَلَوْ جِئْنَا بِمِثْلِهِۦ مَدَدًۭا (١٠٩) قُلْ إِنَّمَآ أَنَا۠ بَشَرٌۭ مِّثْلُكُمْ يُوحَىٰٓ إِلَىَّ أَنَّمَآ إِلَـٰهُكُمْ إِلَـٰهٌۭ وَٰحِدٌۭ ۖ فَمَن كَانَ يَرْجُوا۟ لِقَآءَ رَبِّهِۦ فَلْيَعْمَلْ عَمَلًۭا صَـٰلِحًۭا وَلَا يُشْرِكْ بِعِبَادَةِ رَبِّهِۦٓ أَحَدًۢا (١١٠)

Significance of the Last 10 Verses of Surah Kahf

The Surah Kahf last 10 verses have a very potent reminder regarding the Day of Judgment and what is destined to happen in the form of either disbelief or piety. They talk about Allah's knowledge and power and, therefore, the destiny of the disbelievers and the pious. The importance of these verses lies in the serious worship of Allah while remaining safe from making any partners with Him.

Hadith on Dajjal: Verses of Al-Kahf protect from False Messiah

Abu Darda reported:

The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Whoever memorizes ten verses from the beginning of Surat al-Kahf will be immune to the False Messiah.”

Protection from Dajjal Fitnah

One of the biggest merits of reading the last 10 verses of Surah Kahf is the protection from Dajjal. The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said, whoever memorizes these ayahs will be saved from the greatest fitnah before the Day of Judgment. This type of protection is both spiritual and mental; the believer will hold the fortitude to discern falsehood.

Reciting or Memorizing the Last 10 Verses

As we have seen, it is a good idea to memorize them. Reciting them daily, preferably on Friday, is a way to cleanse the heart and strengthen one's faith. There are many scholars who recommend reciting or memorizing the last 10 verses of Surah Al-Kahf as your daily prayers or before sleeping, as it may give you spiritual peace.

The last 10 verses of Surah Kahf are famously known to exclude evil from Dajjal. Similarly, reading the last ten verses of Surah Kahf gives spiritual merits. These verses keep believers away from entering into disbelief, seal their bond with Allah, and infuse actual thoughtfulness towards the purpose of life. Reciting these verses on Fridays as well as reading the whole Surah is also advised for achieving rewards and gaining better insight.
