Taraweeh Ki Niyat
Taraweeh is a special prayer offered during the month of Ramadan, and its value is greatly enhanced by the niyat (intention) behind it. Taraweeh ki niyat is the conscious decision to perform this prayer solely for the pleasure of Allah (SWT). It is not just a physical act of worship, but a deeply spiritual experience that requires pure intention.

English Translation:
Exalted is the Possessor of the hidden and the manifest dominion. Exalted is the Possessor of Might, Greatness, Reverence, Power, Pride, and Majesty. Exalted is the Master, the Living, the one who neither sleeps nor dies. All-perfect, All-holy, Our Lord, and the Lord of the angels and the souls. O Allah, grant us refuge from the Hellfire. O Granter of refuge, O Granter of refuge, O Granter of refuge.
Taraweeh Ki Niyat: Understanding the Intention Behind the Prayers
Taraweeh is a special prayer that Muslims perform during the month of Ramadan. It has great spiritual importance, providing an opportunity for worshipers to get closer to Allah (SWT). One of the most important aspects of Taraweeh ki niyat, it plays a very important role in ensuring that the act of worship is performed correctly.
What is Taraweeh Ki Niyat?
Niyat refers to the intention or purpose behind any action in Islam. In the case of Taraweeh, the niyat refers to the conscious and sincere intention of performing the prayer to seek Allah's pleasure during the blessed month of Ramadan. Without taraweeh ki niyat, the prayer lacks its spiritual value, as every act of worship in Islam should be performed with a clear, focused heart and mind.
The niyat for the prayer has to be made in one's heart at the beginning of the Taraweeh. This niyat need not be verbal but has to be mentally acknowledged. For example, "I do intend to perform the Taraweeh prayer for the sake of Allah (SWT), hoping to attain His mercy and blessings."
Why is niyat in Taraweeh important?
The reasons why the niyat plays an essential role in the taraweeh are twofold: first because it keeps the performer focused on his prayer in order for him to keep his mind on sincerity, secondly as the intention shows the movement of the doer into the correct acts of deeds.
By doing Taraweeh ki niyat before, we respect this prayer and dedicate ourselves to performing worship with pure intention, which in return gets us a huge reward during Ramadan.
Taraweeh ki niyat is an essential part of the prayer by which Muslims get the opportunity to perform their worship with a pure heart. A clear niyat to every Taraweeh becomes an opportunity to gain mercy and blessings from Allah (SWT).
