Why do Muslims pray 5 times a day?

Five times pray is mandatory for the Muslims. Allah SWT has commanded the Muslims to pray five times daily. It is the second obligatory pillar of Islam. The five times in the day which are specified by Allah and told us by our Prophet Muhammad SAW are Fajr (Morning Prayer), Zuhr (afternoon prayer), Asr (evening prayer), Maghrib (dusk prayer after the sunset) and Isha (night prayer). These prayers are obligatory and commanded by Allah which is why Muslims pray five times daily.
