Surah Yaseen, also called Yaseen Sharif, is the 36th chapter of the Holy Quran. It contains 807 words, and it consists of 3028 letters. Surah Yaseen is a Makki surah, as it means it was revealed in Makkah (Mecca). Also, it is a very significant surah in Islam and is commonly called "Qalb ul Quran" (Heart of Quran), as it expresses one of the very essences of the Holy Quran. The surah discusses the idea of ontological monotheism (the unique oneness of Allah (SWT)), the existence of the Day of Judgment, and the reality of the Hereafter. Facts About Surah Yaseen
Anas (R.A) narrated a well-known hadith, in which the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said:
"Indeed, for everything there is a heart, and the heart of the Qur'an is Ya-Sin. Whoever recites Ya-Sin, then for its recitation Allah writes for him that he recited the Qur'an ten times."
