اب میسر وہ جذب و حال نہیں
ہر روز اک تماشہ نیا ہوتا ہے

خود کو کیسے ہم آئینہ میں دیکھیں
ہر عکس کا پس عکس بھی تو ہوتا ہے
کیسے گلہ کریں ہم اہل سخن والے
کفر کی حالت میں بھی توحید کا عنصر ہوتا ہے
اس شان بے نیازی میں بھی تو سمیعہ
ہر انساں کا اپنا ہی خدا ہوتا ہے
