اے شاہ دل سہاگ نشانی ہماری ہیں
پیاری ہیں مجھ کو جان سے پرپل سی چوڑیاں
خوشبو مرے بدن کی چراتی ہیں روز و شب
دیکھو دعاؔ کمال ہیں صندل سی چوڑیاں
کرتی ہیں میرے ساتھ تیری، جنگ، چوڑیاں
برسوں سے میرے کان میں کھن کھن ہے آج بھی
کرتی ہیں کتنا شور وہ بے ڈھنگ چوڑیاں
سُونی کلائیاں بھی نشانی ہیں سوگ کی
ہر سو خوشی تھی جب تھیں ترے سنگ چوڑیاں

کرتی رہیں گی تجھ کو سدا تنگ چوڑیاں
جاتے ہوئے وہ میز پر کیوں زین دھر گیا
یہ سوچتی ہیں اب بھی مرے سنگ چوڑیاں
برف کے پگلھنے میں دیر کِتنی لگتی ہے
اُس نے ہنس کر دیکھا تو مُسکرادیے ہم بھی
ذات سے نکلنے میں دیر کِتنی لگتی ہے
ہجر کی تمازت سے وصَل کے الاؤ تک
لڑکیوں کے جلنے میں دیر کِتنی لگتی ہے
بات جیسی بے معنی بات اور کیا ہوگی
بات کے مُکرنے میں دیر کِتنی لگتی ہے
زعم کِتنا کرتے ہو اِک چراغ پر اپنے
اور ہَوا کے چلنے میں دیر کِتنی لگتی ہے
جب یقین کی بانہوں پر شک کے یاؤں پڑجائیں
