جب لوٹنا ہی لکھا تقدیر میں منزل تا حدِ نگاہ
محمود بس تو لکھتا جا وہ نشر میرا نہ تھا
لیکن میرے شعور کو بیدار کر گیا
کچھ میں نے اشتعال میں شکوے گِلے کیے
کچھ وہ شکایتیں سر بازار کر گیا
پہلے وہ میری ذات کی تعمیر میں رہا
پھر مجھ کو اپنے ہاتھ سے مِسمار کر گیا
وہ آ ملا تو فاصلے کٹتے چلے گئے
بچھڑا تو راستے میرے دشوار کر گیا
