I think the disbelievers who have started doing this kind of actions, these days.. is mostly because they do not know about Islam nor do they know about the greatness and honor of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم) and all the honor of all the Prophets (عليهم ألسلام) and how deeply Muslim feels about it. I totally agree with a statement once made by the Prime Minister of Pakistan that we want the people around the world to understand Islam and how much love and honor and greatness and sentiments of Muslims hold when the prophets (عليهم ألسلام) are talked about.
Therefore, let us work wisely instead of having emotional slogans, take benefit of this opportunity to reach out and preach the religion on a large scale, call for monotheism (tawheed) of Allaah with all its three types and giving the understanding to people around the world about what is Polytheism (shirk) and why we Muslim free our-self from it and what are the 4 types of Major shirk we free our-self from, this is only for those who want to take benefit of this opportunity.
Believe me, in a state like America, even today, there are places in the countryside, even in the cities, where people have not even heard the name of Islam. Why? its because unlike us, usually they don't watch the international media, nor watch and read international political debates, many people there don't even watch TV. Even at work, they do not say these things, so they usually do not know Islam. So instead of issuing verdicts in general against them, and inciting people to go for genocide, we should convey the religion Islam to them. So is the case with the France. I read somewhere that a revert (meaning a woman who converted to Islam) said, interpretation of what she wrote: she used to wear shorts and lesser clothes, but she didn't know it was wrong. In fact, she did it as she considered it her own wish or norms and considered it right, moreover this woman wrote that she did not even know what Islam was? and if there is a world outside America as well.
But when the call to Islam reached to reverts men and women by wisdom, Allah put the love of Islam in their heart and they are accepting Islam in thousands if not in Millions, In sha Allaah. May Allah make things easy for people like them, Ameen.
The problem with our most of scholars today is that they make people emotional, they do not create wisdom in them, nor do they bring them to knowledge, but today's scholars mostly divert ordinary people to their own imitators. The Do not awaken the potential, reasoning and ability to think in masses.
Then, in this scenario, engineers and doctors getting raised up (they are professional but they have deep understanding of deen as well) who are sometimes wrong in some of their understanding and methodologies, but when they awaken the state of thinking and contemplation in the people, then all kinds of scholars are tempted to defend their position against such professionals who have started learning and teaching deen as well, subhan Allah (Glory be to Allah). Then those scholars who were tempted by these new generation professorial issue verdicts against them of disbelief and gustaakh (blasphemy) on them, and the scholars blind followers just spread out in public these statements. And these engineers and doctors who do not ask for donations, money and any kinda sustenance or any financial support what soever, from these scholars or masses, but just put Bukhari and Muslim (two famous books of authentic prophetic traditions) in front of every one, in every matter. In my opinion, when their words are true, they should be accepted, when they are false, those words should be left out. Even if they come from a scholar of religion or from any professional that had learned the deen and then started propagated to others.
In any case, the real point was that on this blasphemous act, the Muslim should initiate openly by inviting to his religion, that is; towards One true God, Allah. The Creator, the Planner, and to worship Him, and to understand the importance of names and attributes of Allah. By Explaining to Muslims (doing their correction with kind approach) and to Non-Muslim telling about what Is Islam? And what is Tawheed, when this call of truth would reach to the people, there will be men and women in those countries who will accept Islam, based on the Qur'an and the Sunnah.
This is my personal opinion, every thinking person has the right to agree or disagree with it. May Allah help us to understand this, Ameen.
