Baab Tauba Ka Bayan

حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ وَإِسْحَقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ قَالَ إِسْحَقُ أَخْبَرَنَا و قَالَ عُثْمَانُ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ عَنْ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَيْهِ الْمَدْحُ مِنْ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ مَدَحَ نَفْسَهُ وَلَيْسَ أَحَدٌ أَغْيَرَ مِنْ اللَّهِ مِنْ أَجْلِ ذَلِكَ حَرَّمَ الْفَوَاحِشَ مَا ظَهَرَ مِنهَا وَمَا بَطَنَ

Urdu Translation

  جریر نے اعمش سے ، انہوں نے ابووائل ( شقیق ) سے اور انہوں نے حضرت عبداللہ ( بن مسعود رضی اللہ عنہ ) سے روایت کی ، کہا : رسول اللہ صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم نے فرمایا : " اللہ تعالیٰ سے بڑھ کر کوئی نہیں جسے مدح ( اس کی رحمت و عنایت کا اقرار اور اس پر اس کی تعریف ) پسند ہو ، اسی لیے اس نے خود اپنی مدح فرمائی ہے اور کوئی نہیں جو اللہ سے بڑھ کر غیرت مند ہو ، اسی لیے اس نے بے حیائی کے تمام کام ، ان میں سے جو ظاہر ہیں اور جو پوشیدہ ہیں ، حرام کر دیے ہیں ۔ "

English Translation

Abdullah reported Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) as saying: Nothing is more loveable to Allah than His praise as He has praised Himself and no one is more self-respecting than Allah Himself and it As because of this that He has prohibited abominable acts.
