Here are the names and locations of Meeqat, Miqat, or Mawaaqits
Ihram is compulsory for Muslims who want to perform Hajj and Umrah. Pilgrims
can wear Ihram from the cities or countries they are arriving. However, in case
they decided to wear Ihram in Saudi Arabia then there are some specific places
for that purpose. Meeqat or Mawaaqits are the place from where the pilgrims
should wear the Ihram in order to perform their Hajj and Umrah. The mawaaqits of
Ihram are these places.
• Dhul Ulayfah (village in madinah)
• Al Juhfah (village between Makah and Madina)
• Qarn al Manazil (near Makkah)
• Dhat Irq (two miles away from Makkah)
• Yalamlam (small city at a distant from Makkah)
