Surah Jinn or سورة الجن in Arabic is written in the 72nd chapter of the Quran and it consists of 28 verses. From the name, we can understand that this Surah is based on Jinn’s (The Demonic Race). Jinn’s like the Angels are not visible to the human eye. The Quran explains this phenomenon by stating that we are made up of the element earth, whereas, jinns are made up of smokeless fire. In more than one place this element of creation of Jinn’s is mentioned.
The central idea of Surah-e-Jinn revolves around the fact that the Quran Kareem is an authentic book of Allah (سبحان و تعالىٰ) and to present the message of Allah in the presence of Jinns. Surah-al-Jinn briefly discusses the Jinn’s after they head the recitation of the Quran Kareem. Surah-e-Jinn tells us how the residents of the other world (Jinn’s) received the message of Allah. However, it is told in Surah-e-Jinn that the people of Makkah accused Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) of learning the Quran from the Jinn’s, whereas, in reality, it was the other way around. This is Surah Jinn ki fazilat (Importance) in Islam.
When the Jinn’s heard the Quran Kareem from the Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم) they immediately accepted Islam and proceeded to learn more about Allah (سبحان و تعالىٰ) and the Quran Kareem from Prophet Muhammad (صلى الله عليه وسلم).
