اور سامنے وہ چہرہ پری باجمال تھا
آنکھوں میں تھی حیا کہ نہ پوچھیے جناب
پلکیں جھکا کے انکا اٹھانا کمال تھا
ہاتھوں میں تھی قلم وفا دل کتاب تھا
پھر بھی خیال دل میرا کہنا محال تھا
زیر و زبر بھی حفظ کر آئے تھے گھر سے ہم
تیاریوں میں صرف کیا پورا سال تھا
جنبش لب جاناں ہمیں مسحور کر گئی
ہم ہو سکے نہ پاس ہاں اتنا ملال تھا
