یہ عشق ہم سے اور جتایا نہ جائے گا
ذرروں کو آفتاب بنایا نہ جائے گا
اب اور اب چشم بہایا نہ جاےگا
پلکوں پۓ موتیو ں کو سجایا نا جاےگا
مجنوں عشق در در پھرایا نہ جاےگا
پھر ہم سے اپنا حال دکھایا نہ جاےگا
اصغر کو عاشقی سے ملایا نہ جائے گا
آینہ آئینہ کو دیکھایا نا جاےگا
اب تری یاد فراموش ہوئی جاتی ہے
بزم پھر بے خود و مدہوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
وہ نظر بادہ سر جوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
عرصہء حشر کی رونق ہیں ادائیں ان کی
نگہ خاص خطا پوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
پیر میخانہ دکاں اپنی بڑھانے کو اٹھا
مستیء شوق فراموش ہوئی جاتی ہے
عشق میں ضعف نے اس حال کو پہنچایا ہے
زندگی بار تن و توش ہوئی جاتی ہے
دل کے گلشن میں بھی آیا ہے خزاں کا موسم
آرزو محشر خاموش ہوئی جاتی ہے
اب ہمیں راحت و آرام کی خواہش ہے کہاں ؟
ہر خوشی اب تو الم کوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
سر بسر نقشہ بنا جاتا ہوں بے تابی کا
یاس ہی یاس ہم آغوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
دل میں جذبات عقیدت ہیں ، نگاہوں میں نیاز
لو، وفا صدقہء پاپوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
کوئی طوفان اٹھائے گی یقینا رومی !
پھر طبیعت جو بلا نوش ہوئی جاتی ہے
