سو سیاں میرے چندا کو ڈھونڈنے کوٹھے پے جا نکلے
مد مقابل ہے آج اپنےکوئ سج دھج کے گوہم بھی کم نہیں
آج دیکھیں گے ہم بھی انکے یہ ارماں کدھر کو نکلے
اس حسین گلشن میں شامل مہتاب کردے
میری کچھ یادوں کی ردا رکھنا اپنے پاس
یاد کے محلوں میں اپنے نام کا شباب کردے
ہے نام زندگی ہوا سے ہو کر پھول کے چھومنے تک کا
میری زندگی میں اپنی خوشیوں کا مکمل حساب کر دے
خوبصورت ملن ہے شبنم کا اپنی باغ کی دلرباؤں سے
میری یک طرفہ محبت کا بھی کچھ سدباب کر دے
نا ہو گی کبھی جدائی ہمارے درمیاں ہے بات یہ اٹل
جدائی کو گذرے زمانوں کا عذاب کر دے
سنا کرتے ہیں چھپ چھپ کر جو اپنی بات کہتے ہیں
کسے سنائیں دل کی داستاں کس سے کریں باتیں
ستاروں سے ہی اس ماہتاب کی ہر بات کہتے ہیں
شب ماہتاب سے لیکر طلوع آفتاب تک
بہت بےچین رہتے ہیں بہت بےتاب رہتے ہیں
شب ہجراں میں اک پل کے لئے ہم سو نہیں پاتے
تیری یادوں میں جاگیں بھی تو محو خواب رہتے ہیں
یہ پردہ داریاں تو محض دنیا کا دکھاوا ہے
تیری جناب میں تو سارے بےنقاب رہتے ہیں
تیری جفاؤں میں بھی خوشبوئے وفا آتی ہے
اسے لئے تیرے ہنس کر عتاب سہتے ہیں
ساحل کی تمنا میں سمندر میں ڈوب کر
لہروں کے سنگ سنگ پے حساب بہتے ہیں
اشکوں سے رنج و غم سے بھری زندگی تمام
اسی لئے لوگ زندگی کو غم کی کتاب کہتے ہیں
