بستی کے سارے لوگ ہی آتش پرست تھے
گھر جل رہا تھا اور سمندر قریب تھا
مریم کہاں تلاش کرے اپنے خون کو
ہر شخص کے گلے میں نشان صلیب تھا
دفنا دیا گیا مجھے چاندی کی قبر میں
میں جس کو چاہتی تھی وہ لڑکا غریب تھا
