زندگی بھاگ چلی موت کے دروازے سے
اب قفس کون سا ایجاد کرے گی دنی
ہم تو حاضر ہیں پر اے سلسلۂ جور قدیم
ختم کب ورثۂ اجداد کرے گی دنیا
سامنے آئیں گے اپنی ہی وفا کے پہلو
جب کسی اور کو برباد کرے گی دنیا
کیا ہوئے ہم کہ نہ تھے مرگ بشر کے قائل
