عجیب خواب تھا اس کے بدن میں کائی تھی
وہ اک پری جو مجھے سبز کرنے آئی تھی
وہ اک چراغ کدہ جس میں کچھ نہیں تھا مرا
جو جل رہی تھی وہ قندیل بھی پرائی تھی
نہ جانے کتنے پرندوں نے اس میں شرکت کی
کل ایک پیڑ کی تقریب رو نمائی تھی
ہواؤ آؤ مرے گاؤں کی طرف دیکھو
جہاں یہ ریت ہے پہلے یہاں ترائی تھی
کسی سپاہ نے خیمے لگا دیے ہیں وہاں
جہاں پہ میں نے نشانی تری دبائی تھی
گلے ملا تھا کبھی دکھ بھرے دسمبر سے
مرے وجود کے اندر بھی دھند چھائی تھی
