داستان ھے میرے وطن کی داستانوں میں
اسے برباد کر دیا آخر اپنا بن کے بیگانوں نے
سنا تھا اب اوج ثریا پر ھو گا میرا اختر
عرش سے فرش پر دے مارا اس خیال نو کو نوجوانو نے
مشرقی سورج تھزیب مغرب سے ضیا ڈھونڈے
کیا کھوں،کیسے کھوں، کے مار ڈالا ان تھذیبدانوں نے
لے کر ھند سے نکلا تھا جو کارواں امنگ نو
ڈبو ڈالا اس سفینے کو ساحل پر ھی حکمرانوں نے
سنبھالو،سنبھل جاؤں،کے کچھ ھی مھلت باقی ھے
وگرنہ ڈھونڈتے پھروں گے اس شاعر کو آستانوں میں
