بجھ چکی آنکھ خواب تازہ ہیں
داستان شکست دل ہے وہی
ایک دو چار باب تازہ ہیں
کوئی موسم ہو دل گلستاں میں
آرزو کے گلاب تازہ ہیں
دوستی کی زباں ہوئی متروک
نفرتوں کے نصاب تازہ ہیں
آگہی کے ہماری آنکھوں پر
جس قدر ہیں عذاب تازہ ہیں
زخم در زخم دل کے کھاتے میں
دوستوں کے حساب تازہ ہیں
سر پہ بوڑھی زمین کے امجدؔ
