ہر ایک شب یوں ہی دیکھیں گی سوئے در آنکھیں
تجھے گنوا کے نہ سوئیں گی عمر بھر آنکھیں
طلوع صبح سے پہلے ہی بجھ نہ جائیں کہیں
یہ دشت شب میں ستاروں کی ہم سفر آنکھیں
ستم یہ کم تو نہیں دل گرفتگی کے لئے
میں شہر بھر میں اکیلا ادھر ادھر آنکھیں
شمار اس کی سخاوت کا کیا کریں کہ وہ شخص
چراغ بانٹتا پھرتا ہے چھین کر آنکھیں
میں زخم زخم ہوا جب تو مجھ پہ بھید کھلا
کہ پتھروں کو سمجھتی رہیں گہر آنکھیں
میں اپنے اشک سنبھالوں گا کب تلک محسنؔ
زمانہ سنگ بکف ہے تو شیشہ گر آنکھیں
