اک عالم ہجراں ہی اب ہم کو پسند آیا
یہ خانۂ ویراں ہی اب ہم کو پسند آیا
بے نام و نشاں رہنا غربت کے علاقے میں
یہ شہر بھی دل کش تھا تب ہم کو پسند آیا
تھا لال ہوا منظر سورج کے نکلنے سے
وہ وقت تھا وہ چہرہ جب ہم کو پسند آیا
ہے قطع تعلق سے دل خوش بھی بہت اپنا
اک حد ہی بنا لینا کب ہم کو پسند آیا
آنا وہ منیرؔ اس کا بے خوف و خطر ہم تک
یہ طرفہ تماشا بھی شب ہم کو پسند آیا
