اک حویلی ہوں اس کا در بھی ہوں
خود ہی آنگن خود ہی شجر بھی ہوں
اپنی مستی میں بہتا دریا ہوں
میں کنارہ بھی ہوں بھنور بھی ہوں
آسماں اور زمیں کی وسعت دیکھ
میں ادھر بھی ہوں اور ادھر بھی ہوں
خود ہی میں خود کو لکھ رہا ہوں خط
اور میں اپنا نامہ بر بھی ہوں
داستاں ہوں میں اک طویل مگر
تو جو سن لے تو مختصر بھی ہوں
ایک پھل دار پیڑ ہوں لیکن
وقت آنے پہ بے ثمر بھی ہوں
