ایک سایہ مرے تعاقب میں
ایک آواز ڈھونڈتی ہے مجھے

یہ اندھیرا بھی روشنی ہے مجھے
میں سخن میں ہوں اس جگہ کہ جہاں
سانس لینا بھی شاعری ہے مجھے
ان پرندوں سے بولنا سیکھا
پیڑ سے خامشی ملی ہے مجھے
میں اسے کب کا بھول بھال چکا
زندگی ہے کہ رو رہی ہے مجھے
میں کہ کاغذ کی ایک کشتی ہوں
