ویہڑے ساڈے وڑدا ناہیں پئی لکھ وسیلے پانواں ہُو
ناں میں سوہنی ناں دولت پلّے ، کیوں کر یار مناواں ہُو
ایہہ دکھ ہمیشاں رہسی باہو روندڑی ہی مر جاواں ہُو
میں بد صورت ہوں میرا محبوب نہائت حسین ہے ، میں کس طرح سے اس کو پسند آ سکتی ہوں
میرے گھر میں وہ قدم نہیں رکھتا میں نے لاکھوں تدبیریں کیں ہیں
نہ تو میں حوبصورت ہوں نہ ہی مال و دولت ہے میں کیسے محبوب کو مناوں
باہو یہ دکھ ہمیشہ رہے گا یہاں تک کہ رو رو کر مر جاؤں
