چمکےکربلا میں جوہر کی طرح
سر کٹایا بقائے دیں کے لیئے فقط
ورنہ جراَت میں تھے حیدر کی طرح
لاکھ کوشش کی کے سر جُھک جائے مگر
بلند ہی رہا خورشید و قمر کی طرح
وہ ضیائے دیں جانِ دیں قرآنِ دیں
وہ عینِ دیں عظمتِ دیں پیغمبر کی طرح
بھلا کیسے بیعت کرتے یدِ یزید پر وہ
تھے طاہر و مطہّر دینِ اطہر کی طرح
جو عشقِ خدا میں سر کٹاتے ہیں جہاں
وہ زندہ رہتے ہیں خِضر کی طرح
