وحشتوں کو بھی اپنے گھر رکھا
اپنی بے چہرگی چھپانے کو
آئینے کو ادھر ادھر رکھا
اک ترا غم ہی اپنی دولت تھی
دل میں پوشیدہ بے خطر رکھا
آرزو نے کمال پہچانا
اور تعلق کو طاق پر رکھا
اس قدر تھا اداس موسم گل
ہم نے آب رواں پہ سر رکھا
اپنی وارفتگی چھپانے کو
شوق نے ہم کو در بہ در رکھا
کلمۂ شکر کہ محبت نے
ہم کو تمہید خواب پر رکھا
ان کو سمجھانے اپنا حرف سخن
