بند تھا دروازہ بھی اور اگر میں بھی تنہا تھا میں
وہم تھا جانے مرا یا آپ ہی بولا تھا میں
یاد ہے اب تک مجھے وہ بد حواسی کا سماں
تیرے پہلے خط کو گھنٹوں چومتا رہتا تھا میں
راستوں پر تیرگی کی یہ فراوانی نہ تھی
اس سے پہلے بھی تمہارے شہر میں آیا تھا میں
میری انگلی پر ہیں اب تک میرے دانتوں کے نشاں
خواب ہی لگتا ہے پھر بھی جس جگہ بیٹھا تھا میں
آج امجدؔ وہم ہے میرے لیے جس کا وجود
کل اسی کا ہاتھ تھامے گھومتا پھرتا تھا میں
