بعض اوقات مری روح غضب کرتی ہے
جو تری زلف سے اترے ہوں مرے آنگن میں
چاندنی ایسے اندھیروں کا ادب کرتی ہے
اپنے انصاف کی زنجیر نہ دیکھو کہ یہاں
مفلسی ذہن کی فریاد بھی کب کرتی ہے
صحن گلشن میں ہواؤں کی صدا غور سے سن
ہر کلی ماتم صد جشن طرب کرتی ہے
صرف دن ڈھلنے پہ موقوف نہیں ہے محسنؔ
زندگی زلف کے سائے میں بھی شب کرتی ہے
