These bananas are smaller than regular bananas and have a reddish-purple outer skin, which surrounds a white and creamy soft texture inside that is sweet in taste. Packed with Beta-carotene, fiber, and potassium, red bananas have a great impact on eyesight and digestion. Red bananas are rare in the region but can sometimes be imported.

7. Red Currants

Red currants are small and sour berries which can be found in the preparation of jams, jellies, and sauces. They are not a very popular fruit in the subcontinent but are loved for their sour taste and for being rich in vitamin C.

8. Rukam (Rukam Manis)

Rukam or governor’s plum is one of those few fruits that have not gained much popularity as a commercial fruit yet have their origin in the tropical world. It is acidic and has many nutrients, especially vitamin C. Though Pakistani people are not familiar with it, it is somewhat similar to some of the berries cultivated in the country.
