A Christmas Without You

Poet: Sanjha Sanwal By: Sanjha Sanwal, Matli

In the magical Christmas atmosphere, I sit by the window
Mesmerized by raindrops falling outside
The soothing melody of the rain enhances the festive ambiance
Reminding me of what's missing—you

Our Christmas tree's fragrance fills the air
Flooding my mind with memories of our laughter and dialogue
The twinkling tree, adorned with memories of our past
Now serves as a poignant reminder of our missed joy

The Christmas bells' melody seems muted without you
Lacking the harmony only you can bring
Even the fireplace's warmth feels cold without your loving presence

I recall snuggling up together, watching flames dance
And sharing dreams
Santa's gifts pale compared to your presence

Let's celebrate our love this Christmas
Decorate the tree together, exchange gifts
And cherish every moment in each other's arms

Without you, everything feels hollow
With you, my heart aglow
Merry Christmas, my love, wherever you are
You're forever loved and glowing in my heart
