مجھ کو تم سے اعتماد وفا
تم کو مجھ سے پر التفات نہیں
رنج کیا کیا ہیں ایک جان کے ساتھ
زندگی موت ہے حیات نہیں
یوں ہی گزرے تو سہل ہے لیکن
فرصت غم کو بھی ثبات نہیں
کوئی دل سوز ہو تو کیجے بیاں
سرسری دل کی واردات نہیں
ذرہ ذرہ ہے مظہر خورشید
جاگ اے آنکھ دن ہے رات نہیں
قیس ہو کوہ کن ہو یا حالیؔ
عاشقی کچھ کسی کی ذات نہیں
