ابھی ساز دل میں ترانے بہت ہیں
ابھی زندگی کے بہانے بہت ہیں
یہ دنیا حقیقت کی قائل نہیں ہے
فسانے سناؤ فسانے بہت ہیں
ترے در کے باہر بھی دنیا پڑی ہے
کہیں جا رہیں گے ٹھکانے بہت ہیں
مرا اک نشیمن جلا بھی تو کیا ہے
چمن میں ابھی آشیانے بہت ہیں
نئے گیت پیدا ہوئے ہیں انہیں سے
جو پرسوز نغمے پرانے بہت ہیں
در غیر پر بھیک مانگو نہ فن کی
جب اپنے ہی گھر میں خزانے بہت ہیں
ہیں دن بدمذاقی کے نوشادؔ لیکن
ابھی تیرے فن کے دوانے بہت ہیں
