اجنبی سا اک ستارہ ہوں میں سیاروں کے بیچ
اک جدا کردار ہوں اپنے ہی کرداروں کے بیچ
پھر رہی ہوں بے سبب پاگل ہوا سی جا بجا
دھند میں لپٹے ہوئے خاموش کہساروں کے بیچ
اس حصار خاک کو جب توڑ کر نکلوں گی میں
ڈھونڈتے رہ جاؤگے تم مجھ کو دیواروں کے بیچ
کچھ کڑے ٹکراؤ دے جاتی ہے اکثر روشنی
جوں چمک اٹھتی ہے کوئی برق تلواروں کے بیچ
شکل یہ بہتر ہے لیکن پختگی کے واسطے
آؤ مٹی کو رکھیں کچھ دیر انگاروں کے بیچ
