آرزو کو روح میں غم بن کے رہنا آ گیا
سہتے سہتے ہم کو آخر رنج سہنا آ گیا
دل کا خوں آنکھوں میں کھنچ آیا چلو اچھا ہوا
میری آنکھوں کو مرا احوال کہنا آ گیا
سہل ہو جائے گی مشکل ضبط سوز و ساز کی
خون دل کو آنکھ سے جس روز بہنا آ گیا
میں کسی سے اپنے دل کی بات کہہ سکتا نہ تھا
اب سخن کی آڑ میں کیا کچھ نہ کہنا آ گیا
جب سے منہ کو لگ گئی اخترؔ محبت کی شراب
بے پیے آٹھوں پہر مدہوش رہنا آ گیا
