بادل چھٹے تو رات کا ہر زخم وا ہوا
آنسو رکے تو آنکھ میں محشر بپا ہوا
سوکھی زمیں پہ بکھری ہوئی چند پتیاں
کچھ تو بتا نگار چمن تجھ کو کیا ہوا
ایسے بڑھے کہ منزلیں رستے میں بچھ گئیں
ایسے گئے کہ پھر نہ کبھی لوٹنا ہوا
اے جستجو کہاں گئے وہ حوصلے ترے
کس دشت میں خراب ترا قافلہ ہوا
پہنچے پس خیال تو دیکھا کہ ریت پر
خیمہ تھا ایک پھول کی صورت کھلا ہوا
آئی شب سیہ تو دئیے جھلملا اٹھے
تھا روشنی میں شہر ہمارا بجھا ہوا
