چھانے ہوں گے صحرا جس نے وہ ہی جان سکا ہوگا
مٹی میں ہم جیسے ملے ہیں کم کوئی خاک ہوا ہوگا
الٹے سیدھے گرتے پڑتے چل پڑتے ہیں اس لیے ہم
منزل پر لے جانے والا کوئی تو نقش پا ہوگا
اتنی سج دھج سے جو چلے تھے قافلے وہ ہیں ٹھہر گئے
ہوگا ہوائے صحرا جیسا آگے جو بھی گیا ہوگا
کچھ ہونے سے انہونے سے فرق تو پڑنے والا نہیں
ہو نہیں پایا اب تک کچھ بھی ہوگا بھی تو کیا ہوگا
مڑ کے جو آ نہیں پایا ہوگا اس کوچے میں جا کے ظفرؔ
ہم جیسا بے بس ہوگا ہم جیسا تنہا ہوگا
