رو چکے اور نہ اب ہم کو رلائیں بابا
کیسی دہشت ہے کہ خواہش سے بھی ڈر لگتا ہے
منجمد ہو گئی ہونٹوں پہ دعائیں بابا
موت ہے نرم دلی کے لیے بدنام ان میں
ہیں یہاں اور بھی کچھ ایسی بلائیں بابا
داغ دکھلائیں ہم ان کو تو یہ مٹ جائیں گے کیا
غم گساروں سے کہو یوں نہ ستائیں بابا
ہم صفیران چمن یاد تو کرتے ہوں گے
پر قفس تک نہیں آتیں وہ صدائیں بابا
پتے شاخوں سے برستے رہے اشکوں کی طرح
رات بھر چلتی رہیں تیز ہوائیں بابا
آگ جنگل میں بھڑکتی ہے ضیاؔ شہر میں بات
کیسے بھڑکے ہوئے شعلوں کو بجھائیں بابا
